Abandoned Theme Parks

I would want to go to Takakanonuma Greenland  in Hobara Japan. I would take my camera there because it looks older than most of the other amusement parks. I like how it has more of a creepy feel to it and how most things are being grown over. It looks as if everyone just left and never came back.

Funny Captions - the right way!!

Billy McFatty gets his head stuck inside of a chair during class at his school because he was trying to see if his head would fit. McFatty had made a bet with his two friends while in class that he could fit his head inside of a chair, when he couldn't, he tried  forcibly pulling his head out, by this the the teacher had already gotten involved and called for help.

Ricky Bobby is stuck inside the refrigerator  late at night in the kitchen trying to get a late night snack. The three year old Ricky was found stuck in the refrigerator at midnight last night trying to get something to eat, he was stuck for close to five minutes until his mother, Marry Bobby, woke up after hearing things fall to the floor and bailed him out.

A donkey is suspended in the air in the middle of a village in Pakistan Friday afternoon after the wagon he is strapped to is overloaded. While loading his wagon with cargo, Lama Yomama, needed to load as much as he could onto the wagon for his last trip home, as he was finishing, he turned and saw his donkey slowly levitating off of the ground and into the air, realizing there isn't much he could do he let his donkey hang there until he could unload enough things to let him down.

Great Black and White Photographers PART 3

  1.  I really liked how he used cool effects to make the photos look 3d. I think the effect he uses on most photos is really cool because it always looks like there is more than one of the subject. I also like how there is different angles of the one subject in one photo.
  2. I see an old man with a mustache and glasses wearing a collar shirt with a tie. I smell the old mans scent, he smells like coffee and old people. I here the sound of the camera capturing the image and the sound of my own voice saying "1, 2, 3". I taste the eggs and toast I had for breakfast. I feel the smoothness of the plastic mouse and the keys on the keyboard as I scroll and type.
  3. I would like to do a poster of my photographer. It'd be cool to put a bunch of pictures on a poster and explain what he did to make those photos. Also, to give people information on my photographer that I find interesting.

Academic Shoot Reflection

  1. One of the main problems I had was trying to get the rules with all the people moving around. I would have the shot and then someone would move or come in front of me.
  2. I was mostly thinking about the focusing aspect. To do this correctly, I adjusted the zoom, and how close I was getting to the subject.
  3. I would take my time a lot more. I was rushing to do the assignment and so my pictures didn't come out as good as I wanted them to.
  4. I would go into the same class because they were up and doing interesting things, rather than just sitting at a desk.
  5. Rule of thirds because it's easy to just choose which position to take the subject in.
  6. Balance because I'm still not very clear on exactly what balance is.
  7. I'm not clear on balance still. I can research what it means and look at some pictures of balance and also pictures without it.

Academic Shoot

Lines
  1. I followed the rule alright because I didn't show how the line on the bottom lead up to the blue bar on the top as much as I wanted.
  2. The subject is the blue object on the top.
  3. It's pretty clear to people what the subject is.
  4. I could've gotten lower to shoe the lines leading up to the object.

Simplicity
  1. I followed the rule well because I go a very simple background and only captured the subject for the most part.
  2. The subject is the guy doing his work.
  3. It's clear to people that the guy doing work is the subject.
  4. I could've maybe gotten closer just so I wouldn't get the window in the back. Or moved the camera to the left a little.
Rule Of Thirds
  1. I followed the rule well using the lower right position.
  2. The subject is the meat inside of the foil.
  3. It's pretty clear what the subject is except that you can't see the meat very well.
  4. I could've changed the angle slightly to capture the meat better.
Balance
  1. I followed the pretty well because in the picture it looks like both kids are leaning opposite directions so they are balanced.
  2. The subject is the doing their work.
  3. It's pretty clear because the kids are who I focused on most.
  4. I could've gotten lower to show them at the same height too for a more balanced effect.
Framing
  1. I followed the rule alright by using the pan as the frame of the bacon.
  2. The subject is the bacon frying in the pan.
  3. It's clear what the subject is.
  4. I could've changed my angle so the pan framed the bacon better.

Avoiding Mergers
  1. I followed the rule pretty well.
  2. The subject is the guys cooking the bacon.
  3. It's not very clear what the subject is.
  4. I could've gotten closer the the subject to make it more clear.

Mural Project preview

  1. I think it would be a cool to do a theme of all different types of shoes people have on at school. I see so many unique and cool shoes people have on everyday.
  2. I think we should use the cameras. Just because for one, not everybody has a phone. And two, because the cameras just take a lot better pictures.
  3. I would want to put it up on a wall where almost every body almost has to look at everyday. Like one of those walls that are hanging down in between halls.

Africa and Mural Project preview

  1. I thought the power point was amazing. I loved all the really cool photos of the animals and it's just amazing how close and how good of photos the photographer got of all the wildlife in Africa.

       3.  This photo is my favorite because to me, It's the coolest one. Just the way that it captured the awesome background while also getting the lion staring out into it is just amazing.

       4. Rule of thirds: The lion is in the lower right positions of the picture.
Lines: The lines created from the sun coming through the horizon lead to the lion looking out on the horizon.
        5.
            (a) He uses a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses.
            (b) He didn't want just documentary or action/drama filled pictures. He just wanted to simply show the       animals in the state of Being before they weren't any more.
            (c) To record a visually poetic last testament to the wild animals and places there before they are gone
            (d) "The photos are my elegy to these beautiful creatures, to this wrenchingly beautiful world that is steadily, tragically vanishing before our eyes."

Academics & Community Service

My favorite photo was the photo of the kid mixing chemicals.

  1. I picked this photo because it looks cool how he's mixing the chemicals and they're making another color.
  2. Balance, simplicity, and avoiding mergers.

Filling the Frame

The frame is filled because the people around the table are filling out the frame and what they are doing on the table.

Action and Emotion

The action is the liquid and bubbles are all in the air and everywhere. The emotion is the girl's face.

The Story

It tells a story because it's showing kids kind of like praying around a flag. I think the story is that people are remembering 9/11 and are praying around the american flag.

Post Shoot Reflection

  1. The only real challenges I had when shooting the first three prompts, was trying to find things that were happy. There is a lot of red and metal things around school, but for some reason not a lot of happy things.
  2. I was thinking mostly about the focus of the picture. I was trying to make sure I mostly only got what I was trying to shoot in the photo. To do this, I had to adjust how far away I was from the subject and the zoom of the lens.
  3. I would try and incorporate the simple background more because some of my backgrounds kind of distracted the eye from the subject.
  4. I would shoot the same things as I did before because I really like some of the pictures I took.
  5. In the first 3 prompts I actually ended up achieving the rule of thirds and the simplicity rules.
  6. Im not really interested in shooting this again because I want to shoot new things.

Avoiding Mergers

In this photo, the photographer had trouble avoiding the merger of the water and the fireman. It looks as if the water were spraying out of the firmans head.

Framing

In this photo, the building and the light pole create a frame around ground zero.

Balance

In this photo, there is many geometric shapes that help the photos composition. Like, for example, the triangle created from the smoke and the explosion coming from the towers.

Lines

In this photo, the lines created by the smoke coming from the tower lead to the people hanging out of the windows. They also help you see where the people are.

The Rule of Thirds

The upper right position is great for this photo because you can see the whole in the tower and, you can  see all the smoke produced from it.

Simplicity

In this photo, the simple background helps focus more on the man falling and doesn't distract you from the subject.
